Kenneth Cowdery was born in Kansas, a son of Marcus Cowdery and Mary Alice Wells . He had siblings Cecil R. 1886-?, Hallie, Florence Irene , Charles O. and Thelma M. 1901-?, all born in Kansas.

His family lived in Girard, Kansas in 1900 when his father was a teamster. He died in 1903 at 49 while plowing a field. By 1910 his mother and two sisters were living in Crawford.

He married Harriet E. Brown in 1906 in La Junta, Colorado and they had a daughter Jeneve 1907-1997.

They lived in Cedar Hill Coal Camp, Colorado in 1920, then Kim in 1930, where Kenneth owned a general Store. By 1940 they were in Meeker. In 1920 his brother Charles and his wife Clara ~1901-? lived with them.

Kenneth learned to fly after he was 60, and established the airport at Meeker, Colorado.

They retired retired to Sun City in 1961.

He had been a Mason for 53 years, and was a member of the Scottish Rite and Shrine, and the Sun City Square Club.

He was survived by his wife, Harriet; daughter, Jeneve Cassels, Baltimore, Md.; and sisters Florence Irene Boder and Thelma M. John, out of state. Jeneve died in Sun City in 1997. No survivors were shown in her short obituary. She may have been cremated.
