Albert Ciha III, age 87, formerly of 1703 Lilac Drive Manitowoc, currently a resident of Hannah Home Assisted Living Manitowoc, died on Saturday morning, February 11, 2017 at Hannah Home.

Al was born on July 6, 1929 in Two Rivers, son of the late Albert and Amanda (Lesperance) Ciha. He was a graduate of Washington High School with the Class of 1947. In 1949 he married Marilyn Schultz in Two Rivers. She preceded him in death on June 4, 1962. On August 21, 1965 he was united in marriage to Therese Barbier Provost at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Manitowoc. She preceded him in death on September 12, 2015.

Al was born and raised in Two Rivers and for the last 48 years lived in Manitowoc. He served in the U.S. Army from 1947 - 1948 and from 1950 - 1951. Al worked and retired from Hamilton Manufacturing after 39 years of employment. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and walking. Al was a member of the American Legion Post #88 and a life member of the Manitowoc Yacht Club.

Survivors include two daughters and one son-in-law: Sue Schmitz, Manitowoc and her special friend Jim Francois, Green Bay; Deb & Al Hoeppner, Kiel; three sons and one daughter-in-law: Barry & Carla Ciha, MS; John (Mick) Ciha, Two Rivers; David Provost, Manitowoc; 11 grandchildren: Shawn Schmitz and his special friend Laura, Shane (Kathy) Schmitz, Jeff (Missy) Schmitz, Stephanie Schmitz, Eric (Marcy) Ciha, AJ (Jolene) Ciha, Melissa (TJ) Bowker, Angela (Marcus) Arambula, Michele Hubert, Mike Nicholas and Jacquelyn Bruechert; 8 great grandchildren: Cara Janikowski, Chyna Schmitz, Kendall Schmitz, Madeline Jacobson, Jackson Schmitz, Gaviona and Genevieve Bowker, Lola Arambula; special god child: Sarah Barbier Karbowski; two sisters: Eunice Jansky, Two Rivers; Shirley Bennighaus, FL; as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Al was also preceded in death by two sons Greg Ciha and Bruce Ciha, twin to Barry; a brother Paul Ciha and two sisters Priscilla Becker and Lorraine Jansky as well as brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.

Cremation has taken place at All-Care Cremation Center, Manitowoc and a Memorial service will be held at 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 15, 2017 at the Klein & Stangel Funeral Home, Two Rivers.

The family will greet relatives and friends on Wednesday, February 15, 2017 from 3:00 p.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. Burial will take place Thursday, February 16, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at Holy Cross Cemetery,Two Rivers with full military honors accorded by the Am Vets Post #99 of Manitowoc.
