"MRS. H.H. TUGGLE DEAD
"News of Passing distinct Shock to Relatives and Friends Here
"News of the sudden death of Mrs. H.H. Tuggle, of Stuarts Draft, VA, was received here Sunday, and came as a distinct shock to immediate relatives and friends, as only last week, she was reported as being in perfect health. Her demise was due to heart trouble.
"Mrs. Tuggle was well-known in this community, having resided here practically all her life, and only a few years ago with her husband and children moved to Stuarts Draft. Before her marriage, she was Miss Esther Calfee, daughter of the late Rev. James Calfee, who was probably one of the best known ministers of his day. Mrs. Tuggle was a life-long member of the Christian church and was a beautiful Christian character, and the number of her friends was limited only by the number of her acquaintances.
"... The remains were brought to Bluefield last night. funeral services will be held at the home of Mrs. Laura Bailey, on Walton Avenue, at 11 o'clock this morning and will be conducted by the Rev. C.L. Williams of Princeton. Interment will be in the family burying ground in south Bluefield."

Children of Henry and Esther: Mary Elizabeth, Effie Emily Bailey, Martha Ann, John Everett, James Kenna, William Robert, Lewis Henry, Sallie Snow Reynolds, Bessie Belle Jones, and Letha Lafon Tomlinson.
