Married Ethel Clark Sellers, widow of Matthew B. Sellers II on Sept 1, 1932, Ardsley-on-Hudson, Westchester Co., NY.

Graduated from Yale University (1911-12) and was an attorney with the law firm of Hill, Betts and Nash in New York. He was also associated with the law firm of Sherman, Sterling and Wright for 30 years and was the attorney for the National City Bank in New York. He was former secretary and treasurer of the Eastern sugar Association, Puerto Rico, for 25 years. He was a member of the Yale Club, the Sleepy Hollow Club in Tarrytown, New York, and was a consultant to the brokerage firm of Bacon, Stevenson and Company in New York.
