Charles was the only child of Wilma Jean (Acree) & Oliver Chriswell, born in the home of his grandmother Cora Lee (Bell) Acree on top of "Ray Hill" in Wayne County, Kentucky. Charles later moved with his family to Indiana. Around the age of 27 Charles met Connie Bitner who later became his wife and mother of his 4 children Lisha, Rachel, Matthew, & Sean. Charles learned in late summer of 2007 that he had non small cell carcinoma in his lungs that had metastasized & had spread too much to be fixed. Charles spent his last days surrounded by his children, grandchildren, extended family and friends. Just before noon on October 11, 2007 Charles died peacefully in his sleep. After all funeral services were over Charles was cremated as per his wishes. His ashes were later spread over his mothers grave at Albright Cemetery in Kokomo, IN.
