Michael R. English, 63, of Pompano Beach, Fla., formerly of Endicott, died unexpectedly on July 19, 2002 surrounded by his family at North Broward Medical Center in Pompano Beach. He was the son of the late Nick and Catherine English. He is survived by his children and their spouses, daughter, Michelle and her husband Dan Mayes, daughter, Maria English and her husband Chris Agnew; and son, Nicholas and his wife Nancy English; four grandchildrem who he adored, Danielle and Mark Anthony Mayes, Maxwell and Abigail English; one sister and brother-in-law, Joyce and Bernie Delorey, Wakefield, Mass.; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Michael graduated from Union Endicott High School where he was a talented basketball player. He studied Civil Engineering at Villanova University. His passions included attending horse races, joking and laughing with his beloved family and friends and spending time with his precious grandchildren. He was a former member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church.
A Memorial Mass in Michael's name will be held on Saturday, July 27 at 11 a.m. at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, Endicott.
