Esther L. Wineka YORK Esther L. (Estep) Wineka, 85, entered into the Lord's house Saturday, September 16, 2006, at her home, surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of John F. Wineka, who passed away April of 1982.

She was born September 4, 1921, in New Market, Va., to the late Anna June (Estep) Golliday Marston and Clifford Derolis Estep.

She is survived by her daughters, Judy W. Hostler and her husband, David of Dayton, Ohio, and Linda K. Brown of York; one sister, Meta Bingaman of York; brother, Henry Marston of York; three grandsons, Steven Brown and his wife, Kathleen of York, David Hostler and his wife, Deanna of Pittsburgh, and Charles Hostler and his wife, Tracie of Chino Hill, Calif.; five great-grandchildren, Chelsea, Hunter, Whitney, Cole, and Jason; and numerous nieces and nephews. She enjoyed gardening, bowling, and playing cards. Mrs. Wineka was a faithful member of St. John the Baptist Episcopal Church for many years.

Services will be held by Father David Lovelace on Wednesday at 12 Noon at St. John's Church, 140 N. Beaver St., York. Viewing will be at 11 a.m. prior to the service followed by interment at Mt. Rose Cemetery. The John F. Danner Funeral Home, 822 E. Market St., York, is in charge.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the White Rose Hospice, 1412 Sixth Ave., York, PA 17403; or the American Lung Association, 1560 W. Market St., York, PA 17404. "She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. logo
