Dorothy A. Freund, age 83, a Manitowoc resident, passed away early Friday morning, February 17, 2017 at Aurora Medical Center of Manitowoc County.
The former Dorothy was born on November 6, 1933, in Manitowoc, daughter of the late Joseph and Rose Komorosky. She attended local area schools and graduated with the class of 1952 from Manitowoc Lincoln High School. On January 5, 1957, Dorothy was married to William H. Freund in Manitowoc. He preceded her in death on August 30, 1992. She was a member of Immanuel Ev. Lutheran Church. Dorothy enjoyed cooking and spending time at the lake cottage.
Survivors include two sons and one daughter-in-law: Todd W. Freund and special friend Lisa Smith, Manitowoc; Jeffrey J. (Dawn) Freund, Mishicot; two grandchildren: Alexis and Jordan Freund; one brother, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband: William H. Freund; one brother.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, February 22, 2017 at the Immanuel Ev. Lutheran Church, 916 Pine Street, Manitowoc. The Rev. Daniel R. Sims will officiate with burial to follow at Evergreen Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call on Tuesday at the Reinbold & Pfeffer Family Funeral Home, 818 State Street, Manitowoc, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Visitation will continue on Wednesday at the church from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to Immanuel Ev.
