LEHIGH RITES WEDNESDAY
FOR SCOTT ELSBERRY
Lehigh - Funeral services for Scott Elsberry, 60, well-known Lehigh resident, will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Christian church here with the Rev. J. C. Harris officiating. Burial will be in West Lawn cemetery with the Carson funeral home of Dayton in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Elsberry died following a sudden heart attack, suffered while working at the Lehigh Sewer Pipe and Tile Company plant here Saturday afternoon.
Son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Elsberry, he was born at Lehigh. He attended the Lehigh school and later studied at a Des Moines business college. During World War I, he served with the army overseas in France for two years and was discharged as a first sergeant.
He was associated with his father in the clothing business and later in a cafe here. About eight years ago, he entered the employ of the Lehigh Sewer Pipe and Tile Company.
Surviving are his wife, the former Ethel Griggs; two daughters and one son; Mrs. Frank Vratney of California; Richard Elsberry of Madison, Wis., and Mrs. Jack Eaton of Lehigh.
Other survivors are five grandchildren; and three sisters, Mrs. Fern Lumsden of Burnside, Mrs. Steven Manchester of Fort Dodge and Mrs. Bernice Bart (?) of California.
