Our great great great uncle. Robert A Dornon was the son of Irish immigrants Samuel Dornon & Ann Steele Dornon; grandson of Joseph Steele & Rachel Dougherty Steele; and brother of Rachel, Joseph, Jane, Mary & Alexander M.M. Dornon.
He married Sarah Elizabeth Machesney. They had a number of children: John M, Samuel, Carlisle, another child who died in infancy, Nora, Ella & Robert C.
Robert was very active in his community and his church.
He was a cashier at the local bank and a prominent citizen of his community. He was a Prohibition Candidate for Congress in the days of Theodore Roosevelt.
