Beatrice Manning's marriage in 1909 to Charles Irving Oliver ended in divorce in 1918. She then married John Henderson Servis, who, before their marriage, changed his name to Manning. She was always known as Mrs. John H. Manning.

Member of Prominent Albany Family Had Resided Near Gilead for Past 20 Years.
Mrs. Beatrice Austin Manning, wife of John H. Manning, died at her home near Lake Gilead south of Carmel on Thursday, March 8, 1956, of a heart attack.
Mrs. Manning was a daughter of James Hilton and Emma Austin Manning and was born in Albany where her family was prominent in the social and political life for two generations. Her grandfather, Daniel Manning, was secretary of the treasury under President Cleveland during his first term and her father served as mayor of Albany for two terms.
Mr. and Mrs. Manning came to Carmel about 20 years ago and have since resided here.
Surviving are her husband and several cousins.
Private funeral services were conducted at the Cargain Funeral home Monday, by the Rev. Basil G. Law, rector of St. Andrew's Episcopal church and interment was made in the family mausoleum in Albany.
