Son of Agar Mckey Brown & Margaret Langell Brown.

In the early 1960s, Agar was the star center of his High School basketball team. He attended the University of Denver and graduated in 1969, he was president of the Sigma Chi fraternity, was co-captain of the rugby team and was selected for the Eastern Rocky Mountain All Star Rugby Team in 1969. He later played for the Denver Barbarians.

Agar was project manager for Victoria Stations and helped open branches in Boston, Cleveland, Detroit, Sacramento, Toledo and Vancouver. He served as general manager for Victoria Stations in Dallas and Marin County, Calif.

He moved to Aspen & worked as a real estate agent & as a fly-fishing guide before retiring in 1999.
