About six weeks ago, Mr. and Mrs. Lyford, and Mrs. George Lyford and children, went south to spend the winter with Mrs. C. A. Lyford.
Information of Mrs. Lyford's illness had been received, but its serious nature was not known, and the news of her death was a great shock to all her friends.
She was a Christian woman, and all who knew her, loved her. She leaves a husband and three children -- George of this city; Mrs. W. C. Warfield of Des Moines; and C. A. Lyford of San Antonio.
The body will be brought here for burial.
