Mr. Mederios, son of a Portuguese immigrant, was born in Crockett, California, February 23, 1922. On February 26, 1943, he married Harriet Tabler Conow. He served as an officer with the 9th Air Force in Europe during World War II, and later in the Korean and Vietnam wars.
After retiring from the Air Force in 1969, Mr. Mederios and his wife lived in Sonoma and Lake Counties, California, San Miguel de Allende, Mexico, and the Washington, D.C. area, before moving to Charlottesville in 2000.
He is survived by Harriet Conow Mederios, his wife of 64 years; three daughters, Pamela Davis Lumley of Gold Hill, Oregon, Bonnie Mederios Martin of Charlottesville and Mary Mederios Kent of Alexandria; and three grandchildren, L. Christopher Davis, Julia Mederios Kent and Brendon Walker Kent.
Everett was a devoted husband, loving father, and trusted friend. His family is grateful for the loving care given him by the staff of Winterhaven Assisted Living.
