Georgina grew up in the Pickford area, moving to the Sault just before the time she married. In lieu of her missing 1900 census entry, we find her in the 1900 Sault city directory, working as a "laundress." She raised seven children with Fred, losing not a single one in infancy. She suffered from debilitating arthritis for most of her adult life.
