The remains of Charles Melville Fay, a former Quincyan, who died Thursday at his home in Chicago, will arrive in this city on the "Ell" train tonight, to be buried in Woodland cemetery.

Mr. Fay lived in Quincy some years ago, and was a well known citizen. He was a traveling salesman for a good many years, and afterward, engaged in business himself in Chicago.

Two of the relatives of the deceased arrived in town this morning to make arrangements for the funeral. The remainder of the mourning party will come with the body. Funeral services are held at the Chicago residence of the deceased this afternoon.

- The Quincy Daily Herald, Monday, May 5, 1902; page 7. (A second notice mentioned Mr. Fay had worked in Chicago as a wholesale merchant.)
