He was a US Army Veteran during the Vietnam War. He was a retired electrician. He was a member of the VFW #6653 and the American Legion #140.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and his sister, Pam Acord.
He is survived by his wife, Patty; children, Brian and Stacey Acord; Tonya Acord; Tracy Hancock and Grant, Eric Burgess, and Patty Clore and husband, Jeremiah; grandchildren, Ashleigh Stevens and Mark, Courtney Hancock, Alex Hancock, Brayden Llewellyn, Maykala Acord, Reece Berry, and Brice Acord; brothers, Jack and Karla Acord, Jeff Acord, Deb and Lee Call, Kelly and Russ Graham, Shonna Acord and Erin, and Melanie Lester; and his best friend, Bob Godden.
Cremation was chosen. There will be a Celebration of Life from 12-2 PM on February 25th at Frist Funeral Home with Reverend Terry Jeffers officiating. Burial will follow in Walnut Grove Cemetery with Military Honors. Online condolences may be made at www.fristfuneralhome.com.
