Viola Anzivina passed away peacefully at home July 1, 2015 after losing her battle with cancer. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, aunt and friend. She is survived by her husband of 54 years Ralph Anzivina, her daughter Nicki Anzivina and several nieces and nephews.
She was working at IBM as an administrative assistant when she met and married her husband, then later after giving birth and raising her daughter, she worked for many years at the Highland Elementary School as a library aide until she retired. She was an avid baseball fan, loved going to the local casinos with her husband, sister and brother-in-law, enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, and really liked eating cookies (never met a cookie that she did not like). She was a wonderful, caring and generous person who always saw the positive in life and was grateful for every day she could spend with all of us on earth. She had strong faith and will now be reunited in God’s kingdom with friends and family.
Visitation will be from 9am-10am on Monday, July 6th at the Michael Torsone Memorial Funeral Home Inc., 38 Main Street, Highland, NY 12528. Immediately following the visitation will be a graveside service at Highland Cemetery.
