On January 29, 1848, her father who was living with her & her husband, died. The ground was frozen at the time. He was buried on January 31, 1848
During the night of February 1, 1848, her husband died during in his sleep. She had to walk over a mileto get to the nearest telephone to call us about Albert's death.
