MRS. FRANK MCCARTNEY

Mrs. Gladys McCartney, 69, of 15 Hope Drive, Lowellville, Ohio, wife of Frank McCartney, formerly of New Lebanon, died at 4:40 a.m. Saturday in South Side Hospital, Youngstown, following a heart seizure.

Mrs. McCartney was born in Sandy Lake on May 24, 1898, the daughter of Cyrus A. and Elizabeth Crouser Jewell. She resided at New Lebanon until four years ago when the family moved to Lowellville.

She was employed by the Vengold Dairy Store in Sandy Lake and at the Dairy Isle in New Lebanon.

Mrs. McCartney was a member of the New Lebanon Community Church and the Grange.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, Edgar A. Waters of Garland, a daughter, Mrs. Barbara Robinson of Lowellville; eight grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Goldie Hodgson and Mrs. Sabina Dollison, both of Youngstown. A son, Robert Waters, died last Sept. 26.

Services were conducted from the McMullen Funeral Home at 2:30 p.m. today and interment was made in the New Lebanon Cemetery.
