The death of Edmund Vogt, 37, at Holy Family hospital at 5 o'clock
Monday afternoon, occurred just seven weeks after the death of his
wife, Linda. The couple leave two small children, (private).
Mr. and Mrs. Vogt resided on a farm on Route 3, Town of Newton, for
the last 15 years. They were married in Manitowoc Nov. 5, 1923. Mrs.
Vogt was the former Linda Pleuss.
Mr. Vogt had been ill for some time. He was born March 14, 1901, in
the Town of Newton, son of Mr. and Mrs. Herman Vogt, who reside on Manitowoc, Route 1. Besides the two daughters and parents, Mr. Vogt is survived by one brother, Roland, Newton, and three sisters, Mrs. Edgar Born, Manitowoc; Mrs. Walter Born, Newton, and Mrs. Karl Schramm, Manitowoc Rapids.
The body will lie in state at the Pfeffer funeral home from 7 o'clock
tonight until Wednesday afternoon when it will be removed to the Vogt
residence on Route 3. Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon
at 1:30 o'clock from the residence and at 2 o'clock at St. John's
Lutheran church at Newtonburg. The Rev. E. H. Klonka will officiate
and burial will be in the Newtonburg cemetery.
