Miss Minnie Wahlers, 66, who had been blind since childhood, died
Saturday night at the La Crosse County Home.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Berge
Funeral Home, Valders. Burial will be in the St. John Lutheran
Cemetery, Newton.
She was born in Newton in 1888 and at the age of 12 years became
blind. She entered the School for the Blind at Janesville and after
completion of a course was an instructor at that school for about
35 years. Fifteen years ago she moved to La Crosse.
Surviving are a brother-in-law, William Busse, a nephew, Wilbert
Busse, and a niece, Mrs. Arlet Ott, of Newton.
