Clarence “Pug” Alexander of Rossville died Sunday, Feb. 24, 2008. He was 56.

He lived in the Rossville area for most of his life and was a member of Solid Rock Baptist Church in Chickamauga. He was also the owner and op-erator of Tri-County Roofing Co. for more than 35 years and his passion for life and living was being devoted to his wife, family, grandchildren and friends. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Josie Alexander; three brothers, two sisters.

Survivors include his loving wife, Sarah Alexander of Rossville; daughter and son-in-law, Stacey and Shane McGill; son and daughter-in-law, David and April Alexander, all of Chickamauga; four brothers, Roy Alexander of Chatsworth, Henry Alexander of Hixson, Tenn., Charlie Alexander of Dayton, Tenn., John Alexander of Lookout Mountain, Ga.; sister, Sue Goforth of Flintstone; three grandchildren, Montanna Byrd, Grayson Alexander, Alexandria McGill; several nieces and nephews.

The family would like to extend a special thank-you to Gail and Nicole Hunt, Henry Saylors and family at Solid Rock Baptist Church.

Services: Wednesday, Feb. 27, at 3 p.m. at the funeral home chapel with Dewayne Madaris and Carroll Saylors officiating. Burial: Tennessee-Georgia Memorial Park. Visitation: Wednesday from 1 p.m. until the service hour at the funeral home.
