Olympe & Marie were cousins. Both of their father's were brothers.
The 1879 Avoyelles Parish Map shows his 100+ acre farm off Hwy 452 near Fort DeRussy. His great grandson, Collins Mayeux, was the last to work the farm.
The current Avoyelles Parish map shows it off Collins Mayeux Road.
In 2006 I flew down from Seattle and spent a week to repair and repaint various relative's graves. This picture was taken at that time.
