A native of Tigerton, Wis., he was born August 25, 1905, and had lived in Winnemucca since 1926, moving from Wisconsin.
Grantz was a miner and a Navy Seabee veteran of WW II, serving in the 541st battalion.
Surviving are his widow, Naomi, and a step-daughter, Laura Stanley, both of Winnemucca; and a step-son, Paul Deardorff of Grants Pass, Ore.
No funeral is scheduled.
Arrangements were under the direction of the Ross, Burke & Knobel Mortuary.
