Michael Anson Cousins, adopted son of Jack Anson & Audrey Jean (Nauman) Cousins.

Brother of younger adopted sister.

He grew up in Illinois and Northern California - Bay area. They spend summers at the seashore in Delaware.

In his life Michael would live in Illinois, Northern & Southern California, El Paso, Texas, New Orleans, Louisiana and Denver, Colorado.

Later in his life Michael wanted to start a search for his Biological parents / family. He was told that he was born in Delaware. He was also told that he was the product of an affair between an older Doctor and his nurse.
However a search of records in Delaware, Maryland, Pennsylvania and Illinois he was never able to find his real birth certificate. He never had the funds to hire an investigator. No one is really sure where he was born or if someone did know they were not talking.

Married to his partner of 30 years John Thomas Bell, (whom he met in New Orleans), on November 19, 2014 in Denver, Colorado;
Residence of New Orleans for over 15 years, living a block or two from the French Quarter. Where he worked in his chosen profession as a Disc Jockey for the bars / clubs in the quarter.
Michael had an interest in Fashions. He want to go to Fashion Design School but his parents did not agree with it and wouldn't give him the funds for school. He always thought he could of been successful with it.

John and Michael moved to Denver in the 1990's to 146 West Cedar Ave. where they would live for 15 years. Michael loved Denver as his new home.
He also worked as a Volunteer at the Denver Museum of Nature and Science for a few years and up until the time of his death.

Michael was an friendly and outgoing person. He always made friends easily.
Michael and John loved to entertain and having friends over for dinner.
Michael would ALWAYS open his door and take in a friend in need.

Michael enjoyed the "Movie Stars" and Hollywood. He loved going to the movies and watching the awards shows.
He also had an interest in all things "Titanic". He told me once that he must of been on it in a former life to have such an interest in it.

Michael enjoyed performing in his earlier years and a few times in his later years in Drag shows to raise funds for Charities.

His favorite color was Purple.

His favorite flowers were "Morning Glory".

Michael was active up until the very end.

His death was unexpected and was a shock to us all. He passed away at home at 5:00 a.m., his husband John was at his side holding his hand.

Cause of Death: Complications from Diabetes.

Survived by his spouse John Bell, beloved dog Shep and many friends.

Memorial Service held on March 3, 2017 at Kavod where John and Michael lived. It was attended by all whom loved Michael.

Michael & John's beloved dog "Shep" went to the Rainbow Bridge on March 25, 2017 at 11:15 am, I'm sure Michael was on the other side of the Rainbow bridge waiting for him.
