He was born on March 7, 1930 in Saranac Lake, NY, the son of Peter and Cecilia (Tebo) Hosler, and attended Catholic school.
Les was a veteran of the Korean Conflict serving in the US Army in Japan and Korea from 1947 to 1952.
On August 22, 1962, he was married to Arlene Gostlaw in Maryland. She died on February 6, 2000.
Les was employed as a bus driver at Adirondack Trailways for over 35 years, retiring in 1992. Mr. Hosler was an avid Red Sox fan and enjoyed watching Baseball games on TV. Les also enjoyed walking around town and at one time was a back yard mechanic.
Surviving family members include his son and daughter-in-law, Leslie “Les” and Becky Hosler II, of Mohawk; his granddaughters, Carly Marie Hosler, of Rome, NY, and Ashley Arlene Hosler, of Ilion; his sister, Janet Bloom and her husband, Allen, of Florida; his special niece, Betty Johnson and her husband, Gene, of Ilion; and several other nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was predeceased by his 3 sisters, Clydia Fletcher, Pearl Brewster and Agnes Blaise; and his 3 brothers, Richard, Floyd and Gifford Hosler.
