SPARTA - Jenifer Mary Alexander, 61, of Sparta, died Saturday, June 2, 2012, at home.
Born in Edinburgh, Scotland, Jenifer moved to the United States in 1973 and lived in Morristown, before moving to Sparta in 2004. She was an active member of the Worship Team at the Abundant Life Worship Center in Whippany. Jenifer was a registered dental assistant.
The daughter of Alfred Ian Gunn-Russell, M.D., of Hampton, and the late Helen Mary Gunn-Russell (Feb. 26, 2007), Jenifer is survived by her husband, Richard B. Alexander; four children, Simon Euan Hamilton of Hampton, Stephen Andrew Hamilton, and wife, Cynthia, of Stanhope, Joy Beth Hamilton, and husband, David Solomon Recio, of Bridgewater, and David Hamilton and wife, Meredith Jean, of Chatham; four grandchildren, Hannah Elise Hamilton, Stephanie Helen Hamilton, Joshua David Hamilton and Julia Joy Hamilton; brother, Ian Neil Gunn-Russell, M.D., of Fredon; and sister, Fiona Margaret Nelson, of West End, N.C. Jenifer also is survived by her former husband, Alasdair Patrick Hamilton, of Boca Raton, Fla.
A memorial service will be held Wednesday, June 6, at 6 p.m. at the Abundant Life Worship Center, 43 South Jefferson Road, Whippany. Visitation will be Wednesday, 10 a.m. to noon at Smith-McCracken Funeral Home, 63 High St., Newton, followed by a 12:30 p.m. graveside service at Frankford Plains Cemetery, 100 Plains Road, Frankford.
