"Mrs. Alice B. Wieland died at her residence in Howes Cave on Thursday, May 25. She was born July 19, 1870, the daughter of John D. and Modena (Bennett) Tripp. Her husband was the late Charles W. Wieland. Funeral services were held on Sunday at 2:00 p. m. at the Howes Cave Reformed church, Rev. Walter S. Maines, pastor officiating. Interment was in the Bramanville cemetery.
