Funeral services were held at Gustaf Adolph Lutheran Church of New Sweden Saturday afternoon for Miss Hildur Anderson, 78, whose death occurred at Worcester, Mass., after a long illness. Born in New Sweden, she was the daughter of William and Agnes N Clase Anderson.

She was a member of Gustaf Adolph Lutheran Church, the Lutheran Church Women and the Royal Neighbors of America. She had been employed at Aroostook State College, Presque Isle, until her retirement, after which she had resided in New Sweden for a time. She was a resident of a Worcester nursing home at the time of her death.

She is survived by two brothers, Henry E and Evald F of New Sweden; two sisters, Mrs. Judith A Espling and Mrs Egon (Hope) Espling of Caribou, and several nieces and nephews.

Rev Paul H Gleichman, pastor of Gustaf Adolph Lutheran Church of New Sweden, officiated at funeral services. Duets were sung by Mr and Mrs. David Espling, accompanied by Mrs. Peter Espling, organist. Pallbearers were Hampy Johnson, Walter Norbeck, Wendell Spooner, Clyde Jepson, Roger Espling and Peter Espling. Interment will be in New Sweden Cemetery in the spring.
