Known to be the sub-King of Kent in A.D. 784, he is often considered to be the father of Egbert, King of Wessex and of Kent (later). Two spouses are linked below, but there is no proof of his wife's name. Ealhmund is also the 24X great-grandfather of the uncrowned monarch Lady Jane Grey, the so-called "Nine Day Queen" of England:
