She was born on October 17, 1932, in Denver, Colorado, to Neil D and Mary E Bromley. They preceded her in death, as did her husband, Captain Richard Cullom; daughters: Ann Elizabeth Cullom and Kathleen Ellen Milton; sister, Alice Howard; and great-granddaughter, Madeline Wood.
Martha “Marty” and her family first came to Roswell in 1963, left in 1966 and returned in 1973 when her husband, Richard, retired from the Air Force.
She was an active member of St. Thomas, a Becket Episcopal Church and was ordained Deacon on February 2, 1987. In 1979, she returned to school, obtaining an Associate of Arts in 1980, Bachelor of Science in 1981, Master of Arts in Religion in 1985, and Master of Arts in Psychology in 1989. Using this knowledge and experience, she helped establish the Hospice program in Roswell in 1982. When active with the Roswell Ministerial Association, she chaired the hospital chaplain program at both hospitals. She also spent many years in Yucca Garden Club and Roswell Council of Garden Clubs. Another abiding interest was the Roswell Symphony Orchestra and Symphony Guild. Her other interests were the Rio Pecos Kennel Club and her Welsh Corgi dogs, the Civil Air Patrol, where she was a cadet leader and flying with Richard in their Cessna 172.
In 2009, Martha and family became members of St. Stevens Anglican Church, where Martha continued her ministry service as Deacon.
Survivors are sister, Mary Ellen and Chuck Berry of Washington; son, David Cullom of Texas; grandchildren: Nicole and Rob McWilliams of Roswell, Robert and Carmen Milton of Brownsville, Texas; niece, Megan Goines and family; nephew, Justin Berry and family; great-grandchildren: Brittany, Chase, Sarah, Dominic, Railey and Sol Elise.
