Bailey Stewart was the first child born to Earl and Mary Stewart. He was born in Stroud, Oklahoma and later the family moved from Stroud to Prague. In highschool Bailey played on the football team. He incurred an injury at one game that resulted in an emergency appendectomy. The surgery appeared to be successful until a few days later when an infection caused the need for a second surgery and ultimately, his death.
He was survived by his parents and three siblings, Flossie Mary, Manford Royce and Ira Alfred; and his paternal grandmother, Josephine Stewart.
He was buried in Prague Cemetery.
