Seven, surviving, girls followed his birth from 1860 to 1879. His sister Catherine Janet Clevenger (Short), born in 1874, visited Walter here in Payette and met her future husband. She is his only family member to move out west and is also buried here in this cemetery.
Walter met Minnie Johnson from Grant County Oregon. He married her June 28, 1891 in Payette. She is buried here.
Their children were:
TESSIE W. born 1892 in Payette and died 1896 and is buried here.
ASAL HELEN (Walkup, Richardson, Norton) born December 1894 in Payette and died December 17, 1973 in The Dalles, Wasco County, Oregon.
MORTON GEARY born March 4, 1906 in Burns, Oregon, died June 29, 1966 in Napa, CA.

Minnie passed away in February of 1919 and Walter married Emma April 4, 1920.
Walter spent many years in Burns, Oregon.
He owned a furniture store there and later worked with his daughter, Asal, in a mortuary owned by her and her husband.
The mortuary there which is an historic place to visit at this time.
