Maude Sophia Chase was born at Menominee, Wis., July 11, 1879. In 1896 she was married to Gustave Kossoff. They moved to Kalispell in 1902 and lived here until 1910. Mr. Kossoff was manager of Kalispell Grocery Company.
They lived in Conrad until 1918 when they moved to Fernie, B.C., and later returned to Kalispell. Mr. Kossoff died in Kalispell in April, 1944.
In July, 1947, Mrs. Kossoff was married to John Kossoff. In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons, Adelbert in California and James F. (Bill) of Kalispell; two daughters, Mrs. Mary Robertson of Eugene, Ore., and Mrs. Wesley Reedy of Salinas, Calif.; six grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Zylphia Nelson of San Pedro, Calif., and Mrs. Lucy Davis.
