Delta Alberta Chapman, 81 was born to Henry and Florence Shipley Preston on April 5, 1935 in Roodhouse, Illinois, and went to be with the Lord on March 3, 2017.
She was a home maker and a member of the Floyd Assembly of God Church.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 47 years, Thomas Chapman, a son, Terry Chapman, two grandsons, Jimmy Joe Chapman, Stephen Micca Noles, and a sister, Dorothy Inman.
She is survived by two daughters, Susan Holt (Charles) of Searcy, Linda Allsion of Vilonia, six sons, Stephen Chapman (Susie) of Munford, Tennessee, Lyndell Chapman (Fran) of Roodhouse, Illinois, Thomas Chapman (Sarah), Jacksonville, Florida, John Chapman (Martha), of Searcy, Carl Chapman, Vilonia, Wayne Chapman (Shelia) of Searcy, 35 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, two sisters, Dasie McCalister of Jacksonville, Illinois, Juanita Bishop of Jerseyville, Illinois, and a brother Harry Preston also of Jerseyville, other relatives and countless adopted family and friends.
Visitation will be Wednesday, March 8, 2017 from 10 AM until service time at 11 AM at Roller-Daniel Funeral Home in Searcy, Arkansas. Interment will be at William Edwards Cemetery in Barrow, Illinois at a later date.
