Walter Edmond Bartlett, 86, owner and operator of Bartlett Sheet Metal Works, died yesterday in a local hospital following a lengthy illness. Services will be announced by Crest Lawn Funeral Home. A resident of 5410 Finsbury Drive, Mr. Bartlett was a life long resident of Bibb County. He was a member of the Church of Christ. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Pearl Smith Bartlett; two sons, Joseph William Bartlett and Everette Lee Bartlett, both of Macon; three daughters, Mrs. James M. Dennis, Mrs. Viola Brock, both of Macon, and Mrs. Wayne Comer of Centerville; a step-daughter, Mrs. Carl Spillers of Macon; a step-son, Bobby Souther of Waycross; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Bartlett and Mrs. Beatrice Killingsworth, both of Columbus; and a brother, Levi Bartlett of Charleston, S.C. Mrs. Bartlett will be at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Carl Spillers, at 1819 Canterbury Road.
