Rev. J. Daniel Taylor, 79, of Manteno, IL, died on Tuesday, March 7, 2017, at the Miller Rehabilitation Center in Kankakee, IL. He was born on January 4, 1938, in Chicago, IL, the son of Jack and Clina Bushong Taylor. He married Barbara A. Adams, on February 13, 1958. She survives. He is survived by his son; Michael Taylor of Germantown, Maryland. Two daughters; Teri “Shelle” Glionna of Bradley, IL, and Tamara Taylor of Bradley, IL. Six grandchildren; Lynn Hawkins, Jason Fischer, Brittney and Nicole Taylor, Taylor Reid, and Hanna Taylor. He is also survived by eight great grandchildren and one great-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and one son; Jeff Taylor. He served as a minister/pastor for over 40 years. He attended Central Bible College in Springfield, MO. He was ordained at Homewood Full Gospel Church, Homewood, IL. He was the minister at the New Life Christian Church in Momence, IL for 18 years. He has provided ministries in various churches in Missouri, Minnesota, and Illinois. He was a member and assisted in pastoral care with the Peoples Church in Bourbonnais, IL.
