Anson- Alfred Lee "Hedie" Heidenheimer 54, died Tuesday, Jan. 23, 2007. The body will be cremated.

A private family memorial service will be held at a later date.

Born Dec. 18, 1952 in Houston, Heide was a son of Thelma (Landau) Heidenheimer and the late Jim Heidenheimer. He graduated from Anson High School in 1971 and attended Western Texas College. Heide retired as a narcotics detective after working in law enforcement for numerous years. As with his love for law enforcement, Heide was passionate in every venture in life that he chose to pursue. Among these many talents was his extraordinary ability to prepare an unforgettable meal. Whether it was for family and friends or a party of a hundred, Heide's cooking was memorable.

In his youth, Heide was enrolled in piano and discovered a love for music not many associated with him. This passion, however, was the source of many fond memories by those who knew him best, especially those of his daughters.

"Through his laughter and through his life, Heide Heidenheimer left an imprint on our hearts that will last an eternity."

Survivors include his mother, Thelma Heidenheimer of Anson; two daughters, Kimberly Albarez (and husband, Edward) and Tiffany Heidenheimer, both of Carlsbad; three grandchildren, Drake, Peyton, Reagan Albarez; one brother, Mitch Heidenheimer (and wife, Clarise) of Anson; a sister, Carla Heidenheimer of Kerville; and nephews, Hunter, Collin, and Jackson Heidenheimer.
