Len Donald Hulslander of Loma died of natural causes Saturday at Family Health West Hospital in Fruita. He was 62. A service of remembrance will be at 1 p.m. Thursday in Grace Community Church with the Rev. Ron McMullan officiation. Burial will be in New Elmwood Cemetery in Fruita. Mr. Hulslander had been a rancher and truck driver. and was a Loma resident for 35 years. He was born Oct 31, 1932, to Leonard and Mildred North Hulslander in Sterling. He spent his childhood in Crook and Dillon. He Married Yvonne Strahan on Dec. 19, 1953 in Oakdale, La. She survives. Mr. Hulslander served in US Army as a sergeant 1st class from 1950 to 1953 in Korea. He enjoyed his children and grandchildren. His hobby was ranching. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather to his family. Other survivors include three sons and a daughter-in-law, Kenneth of Montreal, David of Loma and Russell and Rhonda of Westminster; a daughter and son-in-law, Sandra and Michael Hibberd of Fruita; two brother, Dee of Midland, Texas. and Kenneth of Glenwood Springs; five sisters, Elnora Stewart of Yuma. Ariz., Bernice Kime of Colorado Springs, Bett Huckabee of Loveland Karma Jone of Kingman. Ariz., and Arta Wray of Hayden; and six grandchildren. His parents and two brothers are deceased Martin Mortuary is in charge of the arrangements.
