Wetterer, Catharina –Oschwald Sister (Nov. 23, 1820-Dec. 17, 1885 –single –daughter of Franz Anton Wetterer [1787-1857] and Theresa Stoehr –born at Rust in Amt Ettenheim, Baden –immigrated to the US on the ship New York, departing from the Port of Havre, France on June 15, 1854 and arriving in the Port of New York on Aug. 1, 1854 in company of Fr. Oschwald and other followers –traveled with her father and her two sisters Rosa and Theresa –in the 1860 and 1880 census for the Town of Eaton, Catherine is shown as an Oschwald Sister living at the Holy Ghost Convent in St. Nazianz –in the 1870 census for the Town of Charlestown, Calumet County, Catharina is shown living on land owned by the Oschwald Community with possible boarding school) –buried at St. Gregory Catholic Cemetery in St. Nazianz, Town of Eaton [buried in Section 1, Row 7, Lot 20 –no stone –in 2019 the St. Nazianz Area Historical Society placed a marker on this grave] [no county death record]
