MARGARET ANN (nee Verbosey) PERUGINI, 89, of WEST PATERSON died Tuesday at St. Joseph's Wayne Hospital, Wayne, NJ.
Born in Astoria, New York, Mrs. Perugini moved to West Paterson at the age of 16. A graduate of Central High School in Paterson, she worked as a columnist at the Journal American Newspaper in New York for five years.
Mrs. Perugini was a parishioner of St. Bonaventure's RC Church, Paterson where she served as Treasurer of both the Rosary Society and the Senior Citizens Club. She was a member of the West Paterson PTA and was a founding member of the West Paterson Junior Woman's Club. Mrs. Perugini was also a Girl Scout Leader for eight years. She enjoyed crocheting and spending time with her family. Mrs. Perugini was the ultimate mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
She was predeceased by her grandson, Dr. Marc D. Perugini on Nov. 13, 2006; by her parents, Anna (Muller) and Louis Verbosey, by her brother, Herbert Verbesey and by her son in law, Robert H. Stackpole, Sr., in 2005.
Survivors include: her two daughters, Gail Stackpole and Kathleen Vanderhoff and her husband, Martin, both of West Paterson, NJ; her son, Alfred J. Perugini, Jr. and his wife, Susan of Barnegat, NJ; her six grandchildren, Robert H. (Margaret) Stackpole, Jr., Michael (Tracy) Stackpole, Tracey Stackpole (Timothy) Gelsinger, Glenn (Renee) Neville, Gail Margaret Neville (Steven) Perruzzi and Melanie Perugini (Mark) Sloan and eighteen great grandchildren, Christopher, Melissa and Melinda Stackpole; Adam, Tyler, Anthony, Nathan and Michaela Stackpole; Ryan, Matthew, Shawn, Megan, Cody and Morgan Gelsinger; Jessica and Joseph Neville; and Steven and Samantha Perruzzi.
