He graduated from Preston High School, class of 1939, and was a life-long farmer on the family's farm. In addition to his devotion to farming, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and his children and grandchildren.
On February 1, 1947 he married the former Albertine "Bertie" Quidas. She preceded him in death shortly after their 40th wedding anniversary in 1987.
Mr. Plutschak had been a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Preston since his confirmation in 1936.
