FUNERALS
John C. Alexander

Funeral services for John C. Alexander were held Wednesday afternoon at the family residence on Fifth Avenue west by Rev. Harold Stark of the Presbyterian church. Hugh Fisher sang two selected solos during the services, accompanied at the piano by Maurice Driscoll. The pall bearers were Frank Dore, George Fisher, H. G. Stafinbil, Gust Bischoff, Charles Martin and M. J. Tucker. Honorary bearers were T. C. Hand, Lee Kerr, W. P. Jaquette, W. J. McKinley and M. Driscoll. Interment was made in Conrad Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Waggener & Campbell.

OBITUARY
John Cameron Alexander was born July 4, 1860 at Momence, Kankakee county, Illinois. He attended grammar school at Momence and high school at Bloomington, Illinois, and then attended the university at Valparaiso, Indiana.
On April 13, 1881, he was married to Malinda Ann Fosket and to them were born nine children. Mr. Alexander moved to Nebraska in the early eighties and afterward lived in South Dakota, Wyoming, and Montana. He taught school and engaged in the real estate business, raised stock and was an auctioneer. In 1902 he came to the Flathead where he continued his activities and later engaged in the taxi service. On May 20, 1920 he was married to Elizabeth Clifford of Kalispell at St. Ignatius Mission and they have since resided at the family residence in Kalispell. Mr. Alexander was keenly interested in politics and stood fearlessly by his convictions. He passed away at his home Tuesday, April 10, 1934, at the age of 73 years.
He is survived by his wife at home, and seven children: Gloria Bertha Johnson of Maedosi (sic), California; Seldon Cameron Alexander, Billings, Montana; Lillian Alexander Meinecke, University of Southern California; Wayne Alexander, San Francisco, California; John Alexander, Gilroy, California; Marie Jane O'Callaghan, Los Angeles, California; and Melinda Alexander of New York City.
