Francis I. Shod Angle, 70, of 114 Elm St. died Tuesday, Jan. 9, 1996, at Methodist Medical Center in Peoria.

Born Oct. 5, 1925, in Petty Township to Isaac and Nell Shockey Angle, he married Carolyn Barrix on June 19, 1940, in Sumner. She survives.

Also surviving are one son, Stanley of Creve Coeur; two daughters, Mariea Watkins and Francina Stone, both of Marquette Heights; and two sisters, Magaline Fleckenstein of Kansas City, Kan., and Erma Jean Hale of Branson, Mo. He was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.

He retired from Caterpillar Inc. after 46 years. He was a world War II Navy veteran.

Burial will be in Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin.
