John retired as a driver/delivery man from the former Cannon Mills where he had worked in Plants 1-2-7-15 over his 45 years in textiles. A beekeeper, he was an outdoors man at heart. John was a life member of the Mount Olive Hunting Club and he enjoyed hunting & fishing, especially with his grandchildren. Back in the day. he also played on the Mt Olive church softball team. John enjoyed playing the banjo, solo or with his fellow pickers who joined the jam.
