My high school friend. A well remembered friend from bygone days. I remember you Bobby from High School. You are always with me. You gave all for our country. Your journey has ended on this earth. You are at peace now. Michael Wooten, 6399 Missinmile Lane, Hobgood, NC 27843.

Bobby was my best friend in high school. We had some very cherished times together with other friends. The last time I saw Bobby he stopped by my mother's house to visit my wife and me. This was only a few days before he departed for VN. While I was in basic training at Ft. Bragg my wife sent me notice about Bobby's death. This news broke my heart. I only wish I had been a Christian the last time we were together so I could have witnessed to him about my Savior and Lord Jesus. I do hope someone shared the Good News with him before his death. Whenever I have reminders of the war or about draft dodgers, I think of Bobby and my good friend Darrell Johnson and their brave sacrifice to preserve the freedoms we hold so dearly. I thank GOD for saving me and bringing me home safely from Phu Loi Viet Nam '69-70. Tim Jeffries.

Always thinking of You on April 12. Lost Your life in the same battle as another Hero of mine. My brother Donny Tidwell. Bonnie Lollar, PO Box 13, Diana TX 75640.

He was the son of Mrs Dorothy G Melton, 409 Briarcliff Road, Rocky Mount, NC.

He served with Bravo Company, 3rd Battalion, 22nd Infantry Regiment, 25th Infantry Division,"Tropic lightning", USARV.

He was awarded The Combat Infantryman's Badge(CIB), The Purple Heart Medal for his combat related wounds, The Vietnam Service Medal, The Republic of Vietnam Campaign Service Medal, The National Defense Service Medal.
