Fred Richard Fallaw, age 83, was born in Port Arthur, Texas but lived most of his life in DeQuincy, Louisiana. He passed away at Lake Charles Memorial Hospital on March 10, 2017. He served his country in the United States Airforce. He retired from Citgo where he was employed for 40 plus years. Freddy was a faithful member of Eastern Heights Baptist Church where he served as a deacon and a Sunday School teacher for over 44 years. He loved spending time outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. Freddy never met a stranger and enjoyed spending time visiting with friends and family

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Anise Weston Fallaw, chidren, Joanne Burnett and husband, Larry of Singer, Louisiana, David Fallaw of Starks, Louisiana and Tommy Fallaw and wife, Dottie of Deer Park, Texas along with his grandchildren, Amy, Amanda, Joel, Jason, Jon and Julia, 7 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. He is also survived by his sisters, Dorothy Fallaw Bushnell and husband, Huey of DeQuincy, Jeanette Gill Brown and husband, Ray of Fields and Mary Gill LeJune and husband Eddie of Many, Louisiana along with many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Abner D. Fallaw, Sr., Delma Langley Gill and his step father, Jessie C. Gill, one brother, Abner D. "Sonny" Fallaw, Jr. and two sisters, Carole Gill Dowers and Susie Gill Lewis.

Mr. Fallaw visitation will be Sunday, March 12, 2017 from 4 – 8:00 P.M. at Eastern Heights Baptist Church, DeQuincy, Louisiana. Mr. Fallaw homegoing service will be held on Monday, March 13, 2017 beginning at 10:00 A.M. at Eastern Heights Baptist Church with Rev. Tony Crosier and Rev. Mark Schultz officiating. gravesite service and burial will follow at Good Hope Cemetery, Singer, Louisiana.
