New Paris Resident Victim of Heat Wave

The summer's first victim of the heat, John (Jack) Marrinan, 74, life long resident of New Paris was found dead in his home at 5 PM Monday. A truck driver employed by John O'Dea, Marrinan earlier in the day Monday went to a farm on the Richmond-New Paris pike for a load of corn. When he returned, he complained of the heat and went to bed, dying within a few hours. Private funeral services were held at 9:30 AM Wednesday in New Paris at the Kessler Funeral Home with Rev Fr. Henry A. Volker of Eaton officiating. Burial was made at St. John's cemetery. The deceased leaves 3 daughters, Hazel, Linda, and Blanche, a sister Julia Brown, and a brother Patrick, both of Richmond.
