Carolyn J. Gilmore, 77 entered into eternal peace on Saturday Jan. 28, 2017.
She was born to Joseph Albert and Reba Mae (Montee) Zordani on Feb. 27, 1939 in Chicago, IL.
Carolyn attended nursing school in Pittsburg, KS & had a lengthy career. She worked in Labor & Delivery at Wesley, Occupational Health at Cessna & Boeing, and in Home Health with Via Christi.
She was always willing to help others in any way she could and became a second mother to many as she raised her own 5 children.
Survived by brother David (Corinne) Zordani of New Lennox, IL; sister Betty (Bob) Villanueva of Rockford, IL; children, Jim Gilmore and Jeff Gilmore of Wichita, KS; Sydney Zordani of Phoenix, AZ; Judy Tran & Josh Gilmore of Omaha, NE; 4 grandchildren, Alexandra Gilmore, Nicholas, Cameron, and Zachary Tran as well as many beloved nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents Joe & Reba, brother Joseph Albert "Sonny" Zordani II, and [ex-husband] John P. Gilmore, Jr.
Parish Rosary will be at 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 9, and Mass will be 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 10 at St. Anne Catholic Church Wichita, KS.
Donations, in lieu of flowers, may be given to the Carolyn Gilmore Memorial Fund at any US Bank to support college educations of her grandchildren.
